TELEPERFORMANCE PHILIPPINES DONATES P1 MILLION CASH TO RED CROSS

TELEPERFORMANCE DONATES P1 MILLION CASH TO RED CROSS

Teleperformance recently donated P1 million to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in support of its rehabilitation program for Typhoon Yolanda victims in Visayas and some parts of Mindanao.

Through the initiatives of the Citizen of the World (COTW), Teleperformance successfully collected cash contributions from TP subsidiaries in other countries, clients and business partners. Aside from these donations, nearly 1,500 employees generously donated about P300,000 in cash, through COTW’s one-time salary deductible contributions for PRC’s Typhoon Yolanda relief efforts.

Teleperformance also engaged the support of its prospective employees when it launched “Apply For a Cause,” where a P50 donation was made for every walk-in applicant who applied in all recruitment sites from November 18 to December 7, 2013.

Apart from the cash pledges, Teleperformance turned over more than 200 boxes of donations-in-kind to PRC. The donations were collected from employees during the typhoon relief operations.

Everest Group Names Teleperformance a Global Leader in Contact Center Outsourcing Delivery

PARIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–February 13, 2014–
Regulatory News :

Teleperformance (Paris:RCF) , the global leader in outsourced multichannel customer experience management, announced today that the company has been selected as a leader in Contact Center Outsourcing (CCO) delivery capability by Everest Group, a global consulting and research firm. The delivery capability assessment by the firm measured the scale, scope, technology, and delivery footprint Teleperformance provides in comparison to other CCO providers.

Everest Group’s Research Institute published the results of its market report “CCO Service Provider Landscape with Peak Matrix Assessment 2013” that analyzed the relative success and overall capability of 20+ CCO service providers varying across geographies and industries. The providers were classified on the Everest Group Performance | Experience | Ability | Knowledge (PEAK) Matrix and divided into three categories of Leaders, Major Contenders and Emerging Players.

The report indicates that in comparison to more than 20 CCO providers, top quartile performers across each PEAK Matrix dimension demonstrated the following differences in strategy and operational capability:

— Market success: over three times higher revenue and realized 25% higher
annualized contract value (ACV) per employee (FTE) compared to others

— Scale: Over three times the FTE scale of other service providers,
allowing them to target a broader and larger client base compared to
others

— Scope: 30-50% more breadth and two to three times more complexity in the
scope of services delivered

— Technology capability: Two to three times the number of proprietary
technology solutions than others

— Delivery footprint: FTEs evenly spread across high- and low- cost
locations; majority of other providers have a low-cost centric delivery
(“) Teleperformance has strategically positioned its business to assume a leadership role from multiple perspectives, including a large coverage of countries around the world and strong presence in all key vertical industries. It’s my sense that Teleperformance will continue to build on this platform in order to serve as a compelling business partner for its clients”, stated Katrina Menzigian, Vice President, Research, Everest Group

“This comprehensive and completely independent study by Everest Group highlights the efforts we have made to ensure we have the scale, scope and technological capability to give our people everything they need to deliver an outstanding customer experience,” said Paulo César Salles Vasques, Worldwide Chief Executive Officer of Teleperformance Group. “As the global leader in the industry, I believe we need to continuously set the highest standards for both ourselves and the other industry providers. We are proud and excited to have received this designation as it reflects well on our management of our business, our continued industry leadership and on the success of our people.”

According to Everest Group, the third-party contact center spend has grown steadily at 7-8% in 2012 to reach US $65-70 billion. The assessment discovered trends among emerging service providers, including mergers and acquisitions focused on plugging capability gaps, expanding delivery footprint, and scale enhancement. Other trends analysts found ranged across increased focus on customer analytics, the emergence of social media channels, focus on skill development and training, and a shift towards balanced shoring.

History of Valentine’s Day

History of Valentine's Day

Saint Valentine’s Day, also known as Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them.

St. Valentine’s Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. Several martyrdom stories were invented for the various Valentines that belonged to February 14, and added to later martyrologies. A popular hagiographical account of Saint Valentine of Rome states that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. According to legend, during his imprisonment, he healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. An embellishment to this story states that before his execution he wrote her a letter signed “Your Valentine” as a farewell. Today, Saint Valentine’s Day is an officialfeast day in the Anglican Communion, as well as in the Lutheran Church. The Eastern Orthodox Church also celebrates Saint Valentine’s Day, albeit on July 6 and July 30, the former date in honor of the Roman presbyter Saint Valentine, and the latter date in honor of Hieromartyr Valentine, the Bishop of Interamna (modern Terni). In Brazil, the Dia de São Valentim is recognized on June 12.

The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”). Valentine’s Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.
